1:00 PM - 2:00 PM    Pokémon Battle Club (Grades K-5) - Pokémon Battle Club
Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. Throughout this class, you will go head-to-head with other Pokémon trainers to determine who will become the Gym Master and take home the Grand Prize of 10 Pokémon booster packs. We will cover some basic Pokémon Trading Card Game strategy, but this class is intended for participants who have a basic knowledge of Pokémon the Trading Card Game. Trainers do not need to bring their own battle decks, but it is suggested.In class trading will also be allowed with direct approval of class teachers to ensure fair trade practices.

KAM Sports is hosting a 5-week skills and drills clinic for girls grades 1-4. Players will learn and develop their basketball skills (ball handling, shooting, defense, 3v3 games, etc.) through drills during this 5-week clinic. It will be run by RMHS Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Kara Melillo. It will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:00-9:15 at the Coolidge Middle School Gymnasium . Does your child love to run, jump, climb and tumble? Then this "play" on American Ninja Warrior is the perfect class. Each week your child will participate in stretching, obstacles and games to help gross motor skills, fitness and fun. From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, tumbling on mats to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast!

The philosophy of Super Soccer Stars United is centered on providing players with a nurturing yet challenging environment which encourages every player to express themselves, be creative and take educated risks on the soccer field.  While Super Soccer Stars United is a competitive program by description, it is developmental in nature; technical improvement and confidence-building remain the program's primary objectives.  Our licensed and experienced coaches follow curriculum components to help each player achieve individual milestones while fostering long-term group and team development in a harmonious environment.  It is an excellent tool to support any town or recreational soccer program for players looking to continue to develop.Prior to the start of the program (usually a day or two before the class starts), all registered participants will receive an email from the staff at Super Soccer Stars which will welcome you to the program and provide important information regarding the program. Please note that the program for children ages 2-3 years old is a Parent & Me program.

Golf is a lifelong sport. The smell of the fresh-cut grass, the crisp morning air, the feeling of the perfect tee shot – it’s hard not to love a few hours on the greens. But what makes golf even better is playing with friends and loved ones. We can’t promise that we will produce the next pro golfer in our program, but we can guarantee that your children will have lots of fun, be introduced to traditional golf grips and hitting stances, and get a little practice with putting and chipping. Using the U.S. Kids Golf Early Start program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities. Our goal is to introduce the children to the game of golf in a fun and interactive way so they can join you on the greens one day!

In this playful yoga class designed especially for elementary-aged children, they will learn yoga poses, breathing and relaxation exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross motor skills and improve concentration.  Each child should bring a water bottle and a mat to every class.Instructor:  Connie Pustorino

Registration Opens at 8am on Wednesday, December 14thWelcome to the fastest growing sport in America.  Pickleball is a game for all ages and skill levels and is not only fun but is great exercise too! Pickleball combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis (ping pong).  Beginners will learn fundamentals and strategies of the game as well as player health and safety.  Beginners will concentrate on the rules, regulations, and etiquette of pickleball.  Pickleball can be played as singles or doubles, and games will be of the non-competitive nature. THE BEGINNER CLASS IS FOR BEGINNERS ONLY!  DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS UNLESS YOU ARE A BEGINNER.  PLEASE REGISTER FOR ONLY ONE SESSION TO GIVE MORE PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY PICKLEBALL!Instructor:  Jack Drinkwater

This Sunday Jr. Basketball Clinic is for children in Grades K-1 and will focus more on skill building and fun drills for the younger hoopsters in Town.  We'll be lowering the nets down and using smaller balls to make  the game more fun for the players.  Each week, players will do station drills and other fun games to acclimate them to the game of basketball.  Players will gradually work toward playing mini-games as the session progresses.  There will be no clinic on Sunday, December 25th and Sunday, January 1st.
 
11:15 AM - 12:30 PM    In-Town Sunday Basketball League for Boys and Girls (Grades 2-5) - Boys Sunday Basketball (Grades 2-3)
Reading Youth Basketball In-Town program is for boys and girls in grades 2-5. In-Town Basketball is strictly recreational and should be approached as such. This program will run on Sundays only. Players will be placed on a team and will receive their own shirt and number! No team/player requests please. During the 75-minute sessions each week, teams will practice and play games for a designated portion of time. This may vary from week to week. Hoops will be lowered to 8 feet for the 2nd and 3rd grade divisions and use smaller balls. All teams will be capped at 12 players or less (space is limited).  The Sunday League rules dictate the exact amount of playing time each individual receives. Playing time is based on the number of players per team.  We will be holding a mandatory coaches meeting prior to the start of the season. SPACE IS LIMITED... Amazing Athletes uses a multi-sport program to benefit children ages 3-5 physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.  Our program introduces the fundamentals of various sports in a non-competitive environment which may include soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball or golf. The RIVAL series is designed with Nerfer’s in Grades 3 - 8 as it features high-performance, high-speed Nerf blasters that are perfect for competitive, team-based play. If you have ever wanted to try out Paintball, this is a great, safe alternative! The RIVAL blasters use squishy Nerf pellets, which are perfect for competitive gaming because players can feel when they get hit, but the pellets don’t hurt like Paintball.  This awesome program puts a fresh spin on traditional games like Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Zone Wars, while also allowing participants to get great exercise, learn strategic planning skills, and make new battle-tested friends.Participants will play different games throughout the day, with individual and team-based challenges, so there is always something new and exciting to strive for. We will also have all sorts of obstacles for the students to interact with, so they never know what to expect! 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM    Fencing, Youth Programs (Ages 7-18) - Youth Fencing - Session 2 (Beginner/Intermediate)
For a fun and healthy competitive sport that offers a workout for both mind and body, you can try fencing.  Fencing offers many health benefits including increased flexibility, leg strength and endurance, and improved coordination.  Additionally, because fencing requires you to learn how to predict and outwit your opponent, it is a sport that can greatly improve your concentration, reflexes and ability to notice small details.  Children and teens alike who are interested in the sport can learn fencing with the New England Fencing Alliance.   About the Instructor: Michael Tarascio was a member of the United States World Championship Team in Men’s Foil. Michael is a Level 4 Foil coach certified through the United States Fencing Association. Also, certified through the Positive Coaching Alliance and the American Sports Education Program. He teaches Recreational Classes for Youth, Teens, and Adults. Also, Michael teaches Advanced Level Technique and Tactics Classes and provides Individual Coaching for the Serious Competitive Fencer. Come play the fastest growing sport around!  All players must have their own paddle and have pickleball experience to register for these sessions. THESE ARE NOT LESSONS!  If you have never played pickleball and would like to learn, we are offering instructional beginner lessons starting in January. Please register according to your ranking ability and register for one session only!  BEGINNERS WITH EXPERIENCE:  Ranking 2.25-2.75Must know the basics of the game and have played before.ADVANCED BEGINNER:  Ranking 2.75-3.25Knows how to keep score, understand proper court positioning during a game and can sustain a short rally.INTERMEDIATE:  Ranking 3.25-3.50Working on the fast and slow game transition and can sustain longer rally.EXPERIENCED, SKILLED AND COMPETITIVE:  Ranking 3.50 and upComfortable with play that includes hard drives, good footwork, uses offensive strategy in play and can sustain fast and slow play in games.

Join us for this exciting sport, one of the fastest growing in the world. People of all ages are fascinated by the movements and excitement of fencing and are eager to find a place that they can go and learn this original, modern sport. Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. Throughout this class, you will go head-to-head with other Pokémon trainers to determine who will become the Gym Master and take home the Grand Prize of 10 Pokémon booster packs. We will cover some basic Pokémon Trading Card Game strategy, but this class is intended for participants who have a basic knowledge of Pokémon the Trading Card Game. Trainers do not need to bring their own battle decks, but it is suggested.In class trading will also be allowed with direct approval of class teachers to ensure fair trade practices.

We can’t promise that we will produce the next pro golfer in our program, but we can guarantee that your children will have lots of fun, be introduced to traditional golf grips and hitting stances, and get a little practice with putting and chipping. Using the U.S. Kids Golf Early Start program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities. Our goal is to introduce the children to the game of golf in a fun and interactive way so they can join you on the greens one day!

No team/player requests please. During the 75-minute sessions each week, teams will practice and play games for a designated portion of time. This may vary from week to week. Hoops will be lowered to 8 feet for the 2nd and 3rd grade divisions and use smaller balls. All teams will be capped at 12 players or less (space is limited).  The Sunday League rules dictate the exact amount of playing time each individual receives. Playing time is based on the number of players per team.  We will be holding a mandatory coaches meeting prior to the start of the season. SPACE IS LIMITED... Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. Throughout this class, you will go head-to-head with other Pokémon trainers to determine who will become the Gym Master and take home the Grand Prize of 10 Pokémon booster packs. We will cover some basic Pokémon Trading Card Game strategy, but this class is intended for participants who have a basic knowledge of Pokémon the Trading Card Game. Trainers do not need to bring their own battle decks, but it is suggested.In class trading will also be allowed with direct approval of class teachers to ensure fair trade practices.

Golf is a lifelong sport. The smell of the fresh-cut grass, the crisp morning air, the feeling of the perfect tee shot – it’s hard not to love a few hours on the greens. But what makes golf even better is playing with friends and loved ones. We can’t promise that we will produce the next pro golfer in our program, but we can guarantee that your children will have lots of fun, be introduced to traditional golf grips and hitting stances, and get a little practice with putting and chipping. Using the U.S. Kids Golf Early Start program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities. Our goal is to introduce the children to the game of golf in a fun and interactive way so they can join you on the greens one day!

This Sunday Jr. Basketball Clinic is for children in Grades K-1 and will focus more on skill building and fun drills for the younger hoopsters in Town.  We'll be lowering the nets down and using smaller balls to make  the game more fun for the players.  Each week, players will do station drills and other fun games to acclimate them to the game of basketball.  Players will gradually work toward playing mini-games as the session progresses.  There will be no clinic on Sunday, December 25th and Sunday, January 1st.

All teams will be capped at 12 players or less (space is limited).  The Sunday League rules dictate the exact amount of playing time each individual receives. Playing time is based on the number of players per team.  We will be holding a mandatory coaches meeting prior to the start of the season. SPACE IS LIMITED... Amazing Athletes uses a multi-sport program to benefit children ages 3-5 physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.  Our program introduces the fundamentals of various sports in a non-competitive environment which may include soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball or golf. Reading Youth Basketball In-Town program is for boys and girls in grades 2-5. In-Town Basketball is strictly recreational and should be approached as such. This program will run on Sundays only. Players will be placed on a team and will receive their own shirt and number! No team/player requests please. During the 75-minute sessions each week, teams will practice and play games for a designated portion of time. This may vary from week to week. Hoops will be lowered to 8 feet for the 2nd and 3rd grade divisions and use smaller balls. All teams will be capped at 12 players or less (space is limited).  The Sunday League rules dictate the exact amount of playing time each individual receives. Playing time is based on the number of players per team.  We will be holding a mandatory coaches meeting prior to the start of the season. SPACE IS LIMITED... The RIVAL blasters use squishy Nerf pellets, which are perfect for competitive gaming because players can feel when they get hit, but the pellets don’t hurt like Paintball.  This awesome program puts a fresh spin on traditional games like Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Zone Wars, while also allowing participants to get great exercise, learn strategic planning skills, and make new battle-tested friends.Participants will play different games throughout the day, with individual and team-based challenges, so there is always something new and exciting to strive for. For a fun and healthy competitive sport that offers a workout for both mind and body, you can try fencing.  Fencing offers many health benefits including increased flexibility, leg strength and endurance, and improved coordination.  Additionally, because fencing requires you to learn how to predict and outwit your opponent, it is a sport that can greatly improve your concentration, reflexes and ability to notice small details.  Children and teens alike who are interested in the sport can learn fencing with the New England Fencing Alliance.   About the Instructor: Michael Tarascio was a member of the United States World Championship Team in Men’s Foil. Michael is a Level 4 Foil coach certified through the United States Fencing Association. Also, certified through the Positive Coaching Alliance and the American Sports Education Program. He teaches Recreational Classes for Youth, Teens, and Adults. Also, Michael teaches Advanced Level Technique and Tactics Classes and provides Individual Coaching for the Serious Competitive Fencer. This workout creates a lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the principles of Pilates and isometric exercises to condition the core and sculpt the legs to build strength while improving balance and flexibility.  We will use chairs and various props such as gliding discs, tubing, pilates balls and light hand weights at each class.  Please bring a mat and 1-3 pound weights to each class.  All levels welcome.Instructor:  Connie Pustorino

Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. Throughout this class, you will go head-to-head with other Pokémon trainers to determine who will become the Gym Master and take home the Grand Prize of 10 Pokémon booster packs. We will cover some basic Pokémon Trading Card Game strategy, but this class is intended for participants who have a basic knowledge of Pokémon the Trading Card Game. Trainers do not need to bring their own battle decks, but it is suggested.In class trading will also be allowed with direct approval of class teachers to ensure fair trade practices.

Golf is a lifelong sport. The smell of the fresh-cut grass, the crisp morning air, the feeling of the perfect tee shot – it’s hard not to love a few hours on the greens. But what makes golf even better is playing with friends and loved ones. We can’t promise that we will produce the next pro golfer in our program, but we can guarantee that your children will have lots of fun, be introduced to traditional golf grips and hitting stances, and get a little practice with putting and chipping. Using the U.S. Kids Golf Early Start program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities. Our goal is to introduce the children to the game of golf in a fun and interactive way so they can join you on the greens one day!

Amazing Athletes uses a multi-sport program to benefit children ages 3-5 physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.  Our program introduces the fundamentals of various sports in a non-competitive environment which may include soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball or golf. Children in Amazing Athletes routinely gain greater confidence, learn to combine fitness with fun and develop 6 key motor skills:Balancing / Running / Jumping / Throwing / Catching / KickingPrior to the start of the program (usually a day or two prior to the start of the program), all registered participants will receive an email from the staff at Amazing Athletes which will welcome you to the program and provide important information regarding the program.
 
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Pickleball Pick-Up on Sundays (Adult) - Pickleball: February 26th (Relaxed, Casual Play)

Come test your individual and team effectiveness as a participant in our Nerf RIVAL Battlegrounds! The RIVAL series is designed with Nerfer’s in Grades 3 - 8 as it features high-performance, high-speed Nerf blasters that are perfect for competitive, team-based play. If you have ever wanted to try out Paintball, this is a great, safe alternative! The RIVAL blasters use squishy Nerf pellets, which are perfect for competitive gaming because players can feel when they get hit, but the pellets don’t hurt like Paintball.  This awesome program puts a fresh spin on traditional games like Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Zone Wars, while also allowing participants to get great exercise, learn strategic planning skills, and make new battle-tested friends.Participants will play different games throughout the day, with individual and team-based challenges, so there is always something new and exciting to strive for. We will also have all sorts of obstacles for the students to interact with, so they never know what to expect! There will be no shortage of fun in this program, and we provide all the necessary supplies!  Join the excitement today!  Participants should bring water and wear comfortable shoes.Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8 will be split into separate groups for the program.

For a fun and healthy competitive sport that offers a workout for both mind and body, you can try fencing.  Fencing offers many health benefits including increased flexibility, leg strength and endurance, and improved coordination.  Additionally, because fencing requires you to learn how to predict and outwit your opponent, it is a sport that can greatly improve your concentration, reflexes and ability to notice small details.  Children and teens alike who are interested in the sport can learn fencing with the New England Fencing Alliance.   About the Instructor: Michael Tarascio was a member of the United States World Championship Team in Men’s Foil. Michael is a Level 4 Foil coach certified through the United States Fencing Association. Also, certified through the Positive Coaching Alliance and the American Sports Education Program. He teaches Recreational Classes for Youth, Teens, and Adults. Also, Michael teaches Advanced Level Technique and Tactics Classes and provides Individual Coaching for the Serious Competitive Fencer. THESE ARE NOT LESSONS!  If you have never played pickleball and would like to learn, we are offering instructional beginner lessons starting in January. Please register according to your ranking ability and register for one session only!  BEGINNERS WITH EXPERIENCE:  Ranking 2.25-2.75Must know the basics of the game and have played before.ADVANCED BEGINNER:  Ranking 2.75-3.25Knows how to keep score, understand proper court positioning during a game and can sustain a short rally.INTERMEDIATE:  Ranking 3.25-3.50Working on the fast and slow game transition and can sustain longer rally.EXPERIENCED, SKILLED AND COMPETITIVE:  Ranking 3.50 and upComfortable with play that includes hard drives, good footwork, uses offensive strategy in play and can sustain fast and slow play in games.
