Summer Daycation Counselor-in-Training [CIT] Program (Grades 8-9)

Summer Daycation CIT
Registration Opens:
February 7th at 8am for Reading Residents
February 14th at 8am for Non-Residents

Reading Recreation CITs will assist Daycation Counselors and Specialty Counselors and will move around as needed throughout the week. This program is designed to give youth entering the 8th and 9th grade a summertime experience that is fun but also teaches responsibility, leadership, and good communication skills. Please note that this program insists that its participants are assertive and self motivated. The success of this program depends on the willingness of the Counselors in Training to communicate with Daycation staff and participants effectively.  CITs may come for the Before Daycation program (7:30AM-9:00AM).  Counselors in Training are not guaranteed positions as Reading Recreation Counselors in future years. 

**NEW** REFUND POLICY  ~ PLEASE READ!!! ~
In an effort to better accommodate families' ever changing summer schedules, we've adjusted our deadlines to withdraw from Daycation 2023. Please note that all refunds by check will have a $10 processing fee withheld from the total refund. Account credits will be placed on your MyRec account for 100% of the enrollment fee. There will be no exceptions made to the deadlines below for refunds/credits. Cancellation requests after the deadlines listed below will only be granted with proof of a doctor's note.

Week 1 (July 5 – 7) Refund/Credit Deadline: Monday, June 19th by Noon
Week 2 (July 10 – 14) Refund/Credit Deadline: Monday, June 26th by Noon
Week 3 (July 17 – 21) Refund/Credit Deadline: Monday, July 3rd by Noon
Week 4 (July 24 – 28) Refund/Credit Deadline: Monday, July 10th by Noon
Week 5 (July 31 – August 4) Refund/Credit Deadline: Monday, July 17th by Noon
Week 6 (August 7 – 11) Refund/Credit Deadline: Monday, July 24th by Noon
