Amazing Athletes uses a multi-sport program to benefit children ages 2-5 physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.  Our program introduces the fundamentals of 10 different sports (soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball and golf) in a non-competitive environment.  Children in Amazing Athletes routinely gain greater confidence, learn to combine fitness with fun and develop 6 key motor skills:Balancing / Running / Jumping / Throwing / Catching / KickingSpring Session I:  Sundays, March 28th - April 25th (4 weeks - No class on 4/4/21)Spring Session II:  Sundays, May 9th - June 20th (6 weeks - No class on 5/30/21)Special Notes in regard to COVID-19:This program will have an approved COVID plan by the Board of Health prior to the start of the program.  Once the plan is approved, we will send it to all registered participants so that everyone will know what is required.

The Quickstart Tennis Program (Ages 6-8 and Ages 9-11) is for children who are ready to learn and develop basic fundamentals of forehands, backhands, serves, and volleys for practice drills and skill games. Players at the higher level will be developing skills in rallying, control, and point play. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS PROGRAM!The mission is to provide the youth of Reading with an opportunity to experience the positive social and athletic benefits of flag football.  We aim to have fun playing the great game of flag football in a safe environment that will help kids learn about physical activity and the proper skills required to play the game.  Developing character and sportsmanship are also top priorities.  There will be practice time before each game.  This time will enable coaches to work on skills and schemes that will be used in games.  Teams will consist of 8-10 players and, in the interest of keeping teams balanced, no team requests will be honored without just cause.  A game shirt will be provided to each participant.  Divisions / Times*Boys Grades K-1:  5:00PM-6:00PM Boys Grades 2-3:  6:15PM-7:15PMBoys Grades 4-5:  7:30PM-8:30PMGirls Grades K-2:  5:00PM-6:00PMGirls Grades 3-5:  6:15PM-7:15PM*Times subject to change based on enrollment. Program Fee:  $159 per participantPLEASE READ IN REGARD TO COVID-19:Every child, coach and spectator will be required to wear a mask at this program due to Covid-19. There will be a limit of ONE spectator per child.  Families will be sent the full program manual by their coaches which will outline overall program structure as well as all protocol that must be followed due to Covid-19. This plan was approved by the Recreation Division and Reading Health Division under the supervision of the Reading Board of Health.  Please do not sign up for this program if you are not willing to abide by the current state guidelines.

12:00 PM - 12:45 PM    Amazing Athletes (Ages 3-7) - Amazing Athletes: Ages 3-5 (Spring Session II)
Amazing Athletes uses a multi-sport program to benefit children ages 2-5 physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.  Our program introduces the fundamentals of 10 different sports (soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball and golf) in a non-competitive environment.  Children in Amazing Athletes routinely gain greater confidence, learn to combine fitness with fun and develop 6 key motor skills:Balancing / Running / Jumping / Throwing / Catching / KickingSpring Session I:  Sundays, March 28th - April 25th (4 weeks - No class on 4/4/21)Spring Session II:  Sundays, May 9th - June 20th (6 weeks - No class on 5/30/21)Special Notes in regard to COVID-19:This program will have an approved COVID plan by the Board of Health prior to the start of the program.  Once the plan is approved, we will send it to all registered participants so that everyone will know what is required.
