Using the U.S. Kids Golf Early Start program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities. Running just to run can be boring, but your students will get a wealth of exercise and have loads of fun by participating in our Ultimate Frisbee League!Disc golf is one of the fastest-growing outdoor activities. Similar to golf, the goal of disc golf is to complete each hole in as few throws, or strokes, as possible. Instead of using golf clubs and a golf ball, disc golfers use a flying golf disc to cross the hole.  Each hole starts with a teeing area and is completed once the disc lands in the “hole”, aka disc-catching target.  While disc golf can be played with just one disc, the discs are designed to fly with different characteristics. Different discs can be used to hook and curve around obstacles, roll on the ground, or fly over trees! Players can bring their own disc golf discs for this program, but it is not required! This program is open to both boys and girls.  Come and play like a champion! Please note that this program is held on the half-day Fridays observed by the Reading Public Elementary Schools.

1:15 PM - 2:30 PM    Sports Zone 101: Ultimate Frisbee & Ultimate Disc Golf (Grades 2-5) - Frisbee & Disc Golf
Ultimate Frisbee gives all students an opportunity to participate because it requires passing, teamwork, communication, and strategic movement. Ultimate is a great sport to get involved in because it promotes continuous movement and is inherently non-contact.
