Rocket Lacrosse Clinic is a lacrosse program for players of all skill levels from grades 3rd -10th. Run by Brendan Murphy, Birch Meadow teacher, former Assistant Coach of the Year, and Offensive Coordinator for Reading High, along with Martin Bowes. Martin is a professional coach, former D1 college player at the University of Hartford and played professionally with the Boston Cannons & Florida Launch. Both Brendan and Martin have extensive experience running lacrosse programs, including Nike camps and coaching all positions.  The focus will be on skills development, fun and social & emotional development using a curriculum that develops skills and concepts with both drills and game play. Prizes will be provided at the end of the week and players will end the week with a personal development plan to take home. It is open to players from Reading and all surrounding communities.Players need to bring a non-peanut snack as well as lunch each day with water.  Additional water will be provided to refill. Equipment Needed:Field Players - Helmet, certified chest protector, elbow pads, gloves, protective cup and cleats or turf shoesGoalies - Helmet w/ throat guard, certified chest protector, gloves, protective cup and cleats or turf shoes

Come work with Jessica Palmer, former Merrimack College Field Hockey player and current Reading High School Junior Varsity Coach/Varsity Assistant Coach.  Jessica loves sharing her love for the sport and helping to develop players' skills on and off the field.The goal of the clinic is to have each player leave having learned something new and with a new-found love for the sport.Participants will start the day with a fund game to get everyone moving, followed by a stretching session and warm up.  The focus will be on developing essential stick skills and passing techniques then work on drills to practice those skills.  Each day will end with a friendly field hockey game to put everything into action.  Plenty of water breaks are built in as well as opportunities to learn and grow in the sport!Participants will need to bring goggles and a field hockey stick.

These clinics will be led by Coach Kevin Tobin (UMASS) and former Division 1 UMASS players.  The focus of the clinic is on skill development.  There will be consistent work on ground balls, passing, catching, shooting and footwork.  Also, there will be mini-games and competitions throughout the sessions.  Younger players will work on basic skill development such as rules to play by, passing, catching, scooping and shooting properly.  Older players will work on skill development in all categories of the game as well as some competitive small field competitions.All participants will need to bring turf or running shoes (no metal spikes), helmet, lacrosse stick and water.

The challenge is on! Outlast, outplay, and outwit using your mental, physical, and creative skills during your very own season of Survivor. We’ll recreate various challenges from the TV show, working individually, in pairs, and as a tribe to come out on top. In our version, no one will be voted off the island!

Join the RMHS Varsity Baseball Coach, Dave Blanchard, and his staff for this 4-day baseball clinic.  This clinic will offer players (boys and girls) the opportunity to get instruction in the fundamentals of baseball.  There will be hitting, fielding and pitching instruction as well as team games and competitions.  Participants may bring a light non-refrigerated snack each day, including water.
 
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    SNL Lacrosse Clinics (Boys & Girls Ages 5-14) - SNL Girls Lacrosse Clinic
These clinics will be led by Coach Kevin Tobin (UMASS) and former Division 1 UMASS players.  The focus of the clinic is on skill development.  There will be consistent work on ground balls, passing, catching, shooting and footwork.  Also, there will be mini-games and competitions throughout the sessions.  Younger players will work on basic skill development such as rules to play by, passing, catching, scooping and shooting properly.  Older players will work on skill development in all categories of the game as well as some competitive small field competitions.All participants will need to bring turf or running shoes (no metal spikes), helmet, lacrosse stick and water.
