9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    SNL Lacrosse Clinics (Ages 5-14) - SNL Girls Lacrosse Clinic
These clinics will be led by Coach Kevin Tobin (UMASS) and former Division 1 UMASS players.  The focus of the clinic is on skill development.  There will be consistent work on ground balls, passing, catching, shooting and footwork.  Also, there will be mini-games and competitions throughout the sessions.  Younger players will work on basic skill development such as rules to play by, passing, catching, scooping and shooting properly.  Older players will work on skill development in all categories of the game as well as some competitive small field competitions.All participants will need to bring turf or running shoes (no metal spikes), helmet, lacrosse stick and water.

This program will group children into their age group to play the following sports:  Basketball, Flag Football, Whiffle Ball, Soccer, Dodgeball and many more!  Multiple sports will be played daily with the focus of having fun!For children that don't want to do sports, the following will be offered:  Learn Dance Routine, Arts and Crafts, Trivia Contests, Water Games, Board Games and Learn Magic Tricks.PLEASE NOTE:  There is no program the week of July 1st.

Join Endicott College Head Football Coach and Reading resident, Paul McGonagle, for the 5th annual specialized youth football clinic.  Coach McGonagle along with other talented collegiate coaches and players, will give each athlete the fundamentals and skills needed to help them advance in their current position and to explore other positions.  At the same time having some much needed outdoor fun and playing games.

Martin is a professional coach, former D1 college player at the University of Hartford and played professionally with the Boston Cannons & Florida Launch. Both Brendan and Martin have extensive experience running lacrosse programs, including Nike camps and coaching all positions.  The clinic will be staffed with high level college players, and current/former Reading Memorial High School players. The focus will be on skills development, fun and social & emotional development using a curriculum that develops skills and concepts with both drills and game play. Prizes will be provided at the end of the week and players will end the week with a personal development plan to take home. It is open to players from Reading and all surrounding communities.Players need to bring a non peanut snack as well as lunch each day with water.  Additional water will be provided to refill. Equipment Needed:Field Players - Helmet, certified chest protector, elbow pads, gloves, protective cup and cleats or turf shoesGoalies: - Helmet w/ throat guard, certified chest protector, gloves, protective cup and cleats or turf shoes

This program will provide each player with the opportunity to enhance their individual skills, develop confidence in the small-sided environment and have a ton of FUN.  In addition we will empower each player to think creatively and outside the box.  We want players to problem solve and come up with solutions without being shouted at by a coach or parent.  We will provide a playing environment where games and activities take the place of lines and lectures.  Players will enjoy the experience of learning under the professional guidance of Reading's very own, Paul Orlando and a tremendous coaching staff led by John Barata (USSF A License, NSCAA Premier, US National Youth License).  Our innovative clinic curriculum will feature all components of the modern game from technical skill development to real game tactical situations.  Please join us for age-appropriate FUN!!

This program is designed for children who want to learn the game of ultimate frisbee in a fun, inclusive environment. Coaches will lead players in drills, games, and activities that prioritize throwing, catching, agility, and rules. Open to all students ages 10-14. No past experience necessary.Program instructors will be Kevin Leete and Tara Gregory! Please note, the location of this program will be Birch Meadow Stadium Field each week except July 22nd. July 22nd this program will be located on the Birch Meadow Multi-Purpose grass field.

The SNL Field Hockey Clinic invites players entering grades 3-8 of all levels and abilities to enhance and learn new skills this summer.  Players will have the opportunity to grow their abilities and knowledge of the game in a fun and competitive environment.  They will learn and practice the core foundations of field hockey.  This will include trapping, passing and receiving, ball control, shooting and defensive tackling.All are welcome to come and learn from Julia Hand and her elite coaching staff.  Julia is one of the most decorated goalkeepers in Saint Anselm College history where she played for four years.  A key player in her team's NCAA Division II National Championship runner-up finish in 2019, Julia started 22 games and led all of the NCAA Division II and the Northeast-10 Conference with a goals-against average of 0.25 and a save percentage of 0.868, claiming the NCAA Division II statistical championships in both figures.  Recording 14 shutouts on the year, including nine straight to begin the 2019 season, Julia only allowed five goals on the season on the way to Second Team All-American honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association.  The NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2019, Julia also earned First Team All-Conference honors and began her career with NE10 All-Rookie Team honors in 2017.  In 59 games played from Saint Anselm, Julia racked up a 46-13 record (.778) and logged a program-record 23 shutouts.  Upon graduation, her 46 wins as a backstop place her first among active NCAA Division II student-athletes.  After her successful career as a goalkeeper at Saint Anselm College, she was a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons where she helped teach the next generation of goalkeepers.Julia is ready to help all players bring their play to the next level!!Participants will need to bring goggles and a field hockey stick.

The SNL Field Hockey Clinic invites players entering grades 3-8 of all levels and abilities to enhance and learn new skills this summer.  Players will have the opportunity to grow their abilities and knowledge of the game in a fun and competitive environment.  They will learn and practice the core foundations of field hockey.  This will include trapping, passing and receiving, ball control, shooting and defensive tackling.All are welcome to come and learn from Julia Hand and her elite coaching staff.  Julia is one of the most decorated goalkeepers in Saint Anselm College history where she played for four years.  A key player in her team's NCAA Division II National Championship runner-up finish in 2019, Julia started 22 games and led all of the NCAA Division II and the Northeast-10 Conference with a goals-against average of 0.25 and a save percentage of 0.868, claiming the NCAA Division II statistical championships in both figures.  Recording 14 shutouts on the year, including nine straight to begin the 2019 season, Julia only allowed five goals on the season on the way to Second Team All-American honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association.  The NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2019, Julia also earned First Team All-Conference honors and began her career with NE10 All-Rookie Team honors in 2017.  In 59 games played from Saint Anselm, Julia racked up a 46-13 record (.778) and logged a program-record 23 shutouts.  Upon graduation, her 46 wins as a backstop place her first among active NCAA Division II student-athletes.  After her successful career as a goalkeeper at Saint Anselm College, she was a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons where she helped teach the next generation of goalkeepers.Julia is ready to help all players bring their play to the next level!!Participants will need to bring goggles and a field hockey stick.

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM    Introduction to Ultimate Frisbee (Ages 10-14) - Introduction to Ultimate Frisbee
This program is designed for children who want to learn the game of ultimate frisbee in a fun, inclusive environment. Coaches will lead players in drills, games, and activities that prioritize throwing, catching, agility, and rules. Open to all students ages 10-14. No past experience necessary.Program instructors will be Kevin Leete and Tara Gregory! Please note, the location of this program will be Birch Meadow Stadium Field each week except July 22nd. July 22nd this program will be located on the Birch Meadow Multi-Purpose grass field.
