Netiquette, short for internet etiquette, encompasses a set of guidelines for respectful online communication.  Elevate your child's digital presence with our Pre-Teen Netiquette Workshop!  In today's tech-savvy world, understanding social media etiquette, texting norms and email protocol is essential.  Digital users need to keep in mind that colleges and employers are seeking people with not just good technical and academic skills, but also with social graces, self-awareness and a positive presence on the internet.  Our program provides practical, hands-on guidance to ensure your child navigates the digital landscape with confidence and respect.  Imagine them building positive online relationship while safeguarding their reputation.TOPICS INCLUDE:- Digital communication fundamentals- Cybersecurity awareness- Online reputation management- Texting protocol (when texting is appropriate and what to keep in mind when sending texts- Email etiquette (tips to keep in mind when using email, professional email etiquette - formality, timing, salutations, subject line, reply all, privacy, etc.)- Social media conduct (questions to ask yourself before you post on social media; the do's and don'ts of social networking; being a professional on social media; handling online criticism and feedback and more)This program requires a 24 hour notice for cancellations to receive a refund or credit. 
 
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM    Children's Conversation Skills Workshop (Grades 2-7) - Children's Conversation Skills Workshop
Mastering conversational skills and etiquette is crucial as it equips children with the confidence to navigate social interactions, cultivate lasting friendships, and understand societal expectations. Moreover, a child adept in verbal communication often excels in written communication, and interprets written material more accurately, providing a boost across all academic disciplines.Topics Include: How to initiate a conversation Engaging icebreakers to kickstart dialogues Strategies for maintaining a flowing conversation Gracefully concluding a conversation Topics to approach with care The art of active listening and avoiding interruptions Demonstrating respect and open-mindedness Recognizing and avoiding rude or disrespectful body language Mastering the art of giving and receiving compliments Invest in your child’s communication skills and empower them with lifelong skills and a path towards a future filled with confident and meaningful interactions.This program requires a 24 hour notice for cancellations to receive a refund or credit. 
 
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Children's Restaurant Ready Workshop (Ages 7-12) - Children's Restaurant Ready Workshop
Like to take your children out to eat with you at a restaurant but you’re a little afraid how they might behave?  In this workshop participants will learn how to use good manners at the table when dining out at a restaurant or a special event. Table manners are not just about how to hold your silverware or how to place your napkin. Good table manners also show self-awareness, respect, and courtesy to others. They are important tools for social interactions that will benefit children personally and professionally for the rest of their lives. After the workshop students will have a better understanding of restaurant manners and confidently demonstrate proper etiquette when dining out. Topics Include: Invitations & how to RSVP • Waiting for a table • How to be seated • Speaking to servers • Menu & ordering food • Understanding the place setting & silverware • Trying new foods • Sharing food • Eating difficult foods • How to handle food allergies • Proper conversations at the table • Using please & thank you • Complimenting the chef & waitstaff • Other restaurant manners: Staying seated, cell phones, belching, playing with utensils or tablecloth, handling spills, and more!
