Pickleball - Beginners (Ages 18+) - Beginner Pickleball - Summer Session
Welcome to the fastest growing sport in America. Pickleball is a game for all ages and skill levels and is not only fun but is great exercise too! Pickleball combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis (ping pong). Beginners will learn fundamentals and strategies of the game as well as player health and safety. Beginners will concentrate on the rules, regulations, and etiquette of pickleball. Pickleball can be played as singles or doubles, and games will be of the non-competitive nature. This program is great for player ratings 1.0 (New) - 2.75. THE BEGINNER CLASS IS FOR BEGINNERS ONLY! DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS UNLESS YOU ARE A BEGINNER. PLEASE REGISTER FOR ONLY ONE SESSION TO GIVE MORE PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY PICKLEBALL! Space is very limited. Due to the limited amount of space, registration is open to READING RESIDENTS ONLY.

Pickleball - Intermediate (Ages 18+) - Intermediate Pickleball - Summer Session
Continue your pickleball journey with this Intermediate course! This class is not intended for people wanting to learn how to play pickleball, but for people who have already taken the beginner class or know how to play and keep score. This class is intended to advance your game to the next level by reducing unforced errors, practicing and putting it all together while playing games. This program is great for player ratings 3.0 - 3.75 (at least one year of playing expierence).Due to the limited amount of space, registration is open to READING RESIDENTS ONLY!

Summer Concert Series at Memorial Park - Perfect Crime
Concerts will be held at Memorial Park this year. There is street parking on Charles Street and Harrison Street and there is a small parking lot off of Salem Street. Bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy these free summer concerts.There are no rain dates for our summer concerts. For information regarding weather cancellations, please visit the home page of our website at www.readingrec.com after 5:00PM on the day of the concert. We will try to post the cancellation notice as close to 5:00PM as possible but please understand that a last-minute cancellation could happen.
