Cooking is a life skill and so is eating!!On a mission to redefine kid food, Kids' Test Kitchen's enthusiastic facilitators get eaters of all ages and abilities cooking, tasting and thinking about healthy ingredients!Participants engage with food in a way that is both educational and fun.  Through hands-on experience,  kids are taught the value of fresh, healthy ingredients into a finished product.Each class closes with an opportunity to taste the result of their hard work.  Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy Kids' Test Kitchen, where participation is encouraged and the choice to taste is always one's own.  Participants receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned at home!Parents report that kids come home from Kids' Test Kitchen EXCITED about fresh ingredients and new recipes!  Reluctant eaters learn that food is safe and fun!  And everyone practices essential life skills like teamwork, time management, patience, along with the obvious skills like slicing, measuring, and cooking!  JOIN US AGAIN!  Each series of classes offers fresh, new recipes to prepare and explore!     - focus on fresh, whole, seasonal ingredients     - developed by a team of registered dietitiansKids have food allergies but they shouldn't miss out on the fun.  Kids' Test Kitchen staff knows allergies and can work around them, making sure that everyone is having fun and staying safe.  PLEASE NOTE: Families who have students with food allergies or other necessary dietary modifications will be required to complete our diet modification form before the first class:  https://kidstestkitchen.com/prep Follow Kids' Test Kitchen on Facebook and Instagram:  @kidstestkitchen

This two-hour event brings together participants of all ages for an evening of laughter, friendly competition, and community connection. Players can register as a full team (teams will be of 4-5 participants) or as individuals to team up to enjoy a variety of quick trivia challenges and interactive favorites inspired by popular game shows like Family Feud and Jeopardy.Whether you’re a trivia buff, a game show fan, or just looking for a great way to spend time with family, friends, and neighbors, this program offers something for everyone. Come test your knowledge, meet new people, and enjoy a lively night of games designed to bring our community together!For this program we are asking everyone to register through a system called Rec Technologies. This is a new registration platform that Reading Elder & Human Services has recently launched and Reading Recreation will soon be using.
