Join the timeless tradition of fishing with the guidance of the MassWildlife Angler Education Program. This intergenerational event welcomes participants of all ages to connect with nature and each other, by casting a line on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Quannapowitt.
We'll provide all the necessary equipment, including rods, tackle, and live bait. The instructors will teach the basics, from baiting your hook to casting your line, and of course, reeling in the fun! It's a perfect way for families, friends, and neighbors of different generations to share a relaxing and rewarding experience together.
Whether you're a curious child, a helpful parent, or a grandparent passing down fishing stories, this event is designed for everyone to enjoy. Pre-registration is required. If your child is 15 or younger, he/she must be accompanied by an adult. Those attending to support but not planning to fish do not need to pay.
LOCATION: Spaulding Playground area on the shoreline of Lake Quannapowitt (off Church Street in Wakefield)
