eSports Middlesex League (Grades 3-12): Session I

Calling all Reading gamers! This league will have two divisions, Elementary Grades 3-5 and Middle/High School Grades 6-12, will compete against opponents in-town and from the Middlesex League communities of Wakefield, Arlington and Woburn!

League is being run in conjunction with GG Leagues recreational eSports gaming site.

REQUIRED necessary equipment:
-- You need to own the specific game
-- You need to own the game system
-- You need an Internet connection to play the games online
-- You need to have the online gaming account (ie, Playstation Plus)
-- You also will need to register with GG Leagues Gaming Systems for an online account. This information will be sent to registered participants.

LEAGUE DETAILS:
-- These are the same details for all the leagues. This winter season will last 6 weeks of regular play with 1 week of playoffs (7 weeks total).
-- Regular season games will last up to an hour.
-- For the playoffs, the top 4 teams will play a single elimination playoff bracket. Playoffs typically run for 3 hours for the winning teams, so please plan accordingly.

GAMING SCHEDULE:

Mondays: MADDEN NFL 21 [on Playstation4]

Tuesdays: FORTNITE [on multiple platforms - PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Ninetnedo Switch, Mobile, or Mac]
FIFA 21 [on Playstation4]

Wednesdays: NBA 2K21 [on Playstation4]

Thursdays: SUPER SMASH BROS. [on Nintendo Switch]

GAMING INFORMATION:

MADDEN NFL21
Mondays, 7-8pm (Gr. 3-5), 8-9pm (Gr. 6-12)
Jan. 25 - Mar. 1
All players must have their own PS4 console, PS4 Plus account and the Madden NFL21 game. Regular season will be from Jan. 25 - Mar. 1; playoffs will take place Mar. 8.

*All organized, online, competitive gameplay is scheduled weekly through this GG Leagues System. Through this system, all players will be able to see and access the league bracket, submit their scores, report wins/losses and will need to upload a screenshot of the endgame score report.

FORTNITE
Tuesdays, 7-8pm (Gr. 3-5), 8-9pm (Gr. 6-12)
Jan. 26 - Mar. 2
All players must have their own FORTNITE account and ONE of the following gaming systems:
- XBox with XBox Live account*
- PlayStation with PlayStation Plus account*
- Switch with Nintendo Online account*
- PC or Mobile with dependable Internet connectivity*
*Internet connection needed for weekly competitive play as all games will be played online.
Regular season will be from Jan. 26 - Mar. 2; playoffs will take place Mar. 9.

FIFA 21
Tuesdays, 7-8pm (Gr. 3-5), 8-9pm (Gr. 6-12)

All players must have their own PS4 console, PS4 Plus account and the FIFA 21 game. Regular season will be from Jan. 26 - Mar. 2; playoffs will take place Mar. 9.

NBA 2K21
Wednesdays, 7-8pm 7-8pm (Gr. 3-5), 8-9pm (Gr. 6-12)
Jan. 27 - Feb. 17
All players must have their own PS4 console, PS4 Plus account and the NBA 2K1 game. Regular season will be from Jan. 13 - Feb. 17; playoffs will take place Feb. 24.

SUPER SMASH BROS.
Thursdays, 7-8pm (Gr. 3-5), 8-9pm (Gr. 6-12)
Jan. 28 - Mar. 4
All players must have their own Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Online account and the Super Smash Bros. game. Regular season will be from Jan. 28 - Mar. 4; playoffs will take place Mar. 11.
