Game Based Python (Ages 7-12)

In this class, students will work up to advanced Python coding concepts through interactive lessons and mini-projects. Python is one of the world’s most popular programming language! Students acquire critical problem solving and computational thinking skills. Your child will learn how to use variables, problem-solving, loops, and methods. These will all be incorporated into creating different games and projects! Kids will be exposed to different python packages.
 
Students will be placed in the appropriate level based on their experience: 
- Intro (Animations and Games)
- Intermediate (Intro to Text-Based Coding)
- Advanced (Advancing Text-Based Coding)

Prerequisites - No prior coding knowledge or experience is required. 
- A modern PC or Mac computer with at least 4GB of RAM and 256MB processor speed.  Tablets/Chromebooks are not supported for this class. 
- A USB headset
- A web camera
- A computer mouse will be helpful for this class
- High speed internet
- Zoom App installed
