The mission is to provide the youth of Reading with an opportunity to experience the positive social and athletic benefits of flag football. We aim to have fun playing the great game of flag football in a safe environment that will help kids learn about physical activity and the proper skills required to play the game. Developing character and sportsmanship are also top priorities. There will be practice time before each game. This time will enable coaches to work on skills and schemes that will be used in games. Teams will consist of 8-10 players and, in the interest of keeping teams balanced, no team requests will be honored. A game shirt will be provided to each participant.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be games on Saturday, October 10th (holiday weekend). Due to the RMHS Band show on Saturday, October 17th, games that weekend will be on Sunday, October 18th. The last day of the program will be on Saturday, October 24th.
COACHES NEEDED: If you are interested in being a HEAD COACH or ASSISTANT COACH for the Saturday Night Lights Flag Football program, please indicate your interest when you register your child online. Coaches will be contacted by one of the coordinators prior to the beginning of the season.
