Tennis Ball Balanced on Racket
In cooperation with Reading Recreation, Tennis Professional, Gregg Luongo, rejoins our summer team. Gregg has been a Professional Tennis Instructor for 30 years. He is a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), and played as the #1 singles player for Reading Memorial High School and the University of New Hampshire. Currently, Gregg is a Tennis Pro at Bass River Tennis Club in Beverly.  This program is a great way to get introduced to tennis and/or to build upon existing skills at all levels.  A session consists of 5 group lessons Monday through Friday (except Session B which is only 3 days due to the holiday).  Average ratio of participants to instructors in a given session will be a minimum of 3:1 and maximum 8:1.  Please remember that we are very flexible with make up missed classes.  If you know you may be going away for a week or so, you will be able to make the classes up during one of the many other class times.

The Quickstart Tennis Program (Ages 6-8 and Ages 9-11) is for children who are ready to learn and develop basic fundamentals of forehands, backhands, serves and volleys for practice drills and skill games.  Players at the higher level will be developing skills in rallying, control and point play.

Parents are asked to place children respective to their ability. If a child is misplaced, he/she may be switched. If there is any question, please feel free to contact Gregg Luongo at rectennisgregg@gmail.com.  Rain make-ups will be throughout the summer during weeks not attended and are scheduled by Gregg Luongo.

LOCATION: All Summer tennis programs are held at the Reading Community Tennis Courts.

Please Note:  Week B is 3 days (no class on 7/4 and 7/5).
